Serving is a vital part of our Christian growth, and is a great way to connect with church family and form deep relationships. The Adventure could not function, or be the friendly and welcoming environment it is, without those who serve on our various ministry teams with the heart of Jesus. Check them out and see if any are a good fit for you! There are more serving areas than these, so email us to share your thoughts at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Adventure Teams are both behind the scenes and on the front lines every Sunday. They, along with the Connect Team, are the "face" of the Adventure, interacting with all the people God leads to our church. Adventure Teams are a great first step in getting to know people and experiencing the biblical attitude and heart of service. Team members connect with each other while they greet people, provide coffee, support the service through ushering, and help people have a great experience with God each week. Typically people serve during Sunday service once a month. If you are interested in serving on one of the weekly teams, please email email@example.com.
Our Care Ministry focuses on ministering to those who are hospitalized, homebound, or who have experienced a loved one passing on. We visit people at home to connect with them and show them Jesus' love, making sure they know they are not forgotten. We help support families experiencing a loss or illness through meals, as well as being available to assist with funerals. Service is flexible. If you are in need of help, or would like to be part of this special ministry, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The vision of the Connect Team is to "connect everyone we come in contact with into the life of Christ and His Church." We do this by being intentional about connecting with each guest that walks in and out of the Adventure, and assisting them as needed. We want to be a guide and resource to all, and our prayer is to be used by God to reach His people. Typically people serve once a month before and after a Sunday service. Tiffany Velez leads this ministry team, so if you want to be a part of helping people feel welcomed and facilitate orienting and engaging them in the life of the Adventure, please email email@example.com.
The vision of Jesus Feeds is to supply nutritious food, as well as the hope and love of Jesus Christ, for those in need. Jesus Feeds innovated the “shopping” method of food distribution—a method the Utah Food Bank system has now adopted—which gives people choices, showing them we care about them as individuals with individual needs. Each month over 1000 people receive food, the love of Christ, and a time to pray for their needs. It is a great way to "Love God & Love People" in a very practical way. People can choose to help unload the Utah Food Bank truck approximately two hours during the day on Wednesdays, and/or to serve clients on Thursday afternoon and evenings. If you are interested in serving in Jesus Feeds, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. If you are in need of food, please call the Jesus Feed's hotline to make an appointment at 801-688-7251.
Jesus on the Move
Jesus on the Move is an outreach ministry to spread the love of Jesus by mobilizing the church to reach the underserved in our community in tangible ways. Each month we will partner with a local organization to volunteer and support their mission. Currently, we are serving with the Rescue Mission of Salt Lake on the 2nd Saturday of the month. You can choose to prepare food in the afternoon and/or help with the service at 6:30pm and serve dinner at 8pm. We are also looking for drivers to bring people from the Rescue Mission on Sunday mornings before service. To find out more and sign up, visit our Events Page or email email@example.com.
